When choosing a home to buy/rent, we usually look at a few key factors. We want to know if the living space is in good condition, what type of neighborhood it’s located in, and especially how much it will cost you. Typically I like to find the lowest priced apartments for rent. For someone who’s always working or out keeping busy, why pay more for a place you barely sleep at? Though, my life started to seem very blah. I was desperate for get-aways, and if I did have a day off I wouldn’t leave my bed. That wasn’t the type of life I wanted to be living. So my views changed a little bit by the time the lease was up. I found a 365 day vacation home.
What I love about my current home right now are the amenities. After a hectic day I usually spend some time writing in the courtyard or at our resort style pool. If it’s too chilly outside, I like to relax by my cozy fireplace. With a drink in hand, I feel like I’m always on vacation! Previous to this Las Vegas apartment, my sis and I rented a place in the heart of Downtown Cleveland. I loved the view, and restaurants and nightlife were within walking distance.
If your budget is extremely tight right now, research neighborhoods that accommodate your price range. You can always find mini get-away luxuries nearby. For example, beautiful parks, community swimming pools, and even mini shopping centers designed to make you feel as though you’re in a different city. If this isn’t an option either, take a short trip to your friend’s house! I love visiting my friend Kara. She lives right on the lake, and the way she designed her outdoor patio makes you never want to leave. Speaking of friends, you can also look into getting a roommate. Find someone who shares the same living interests as you, and split the cost!
My point is this: Work hard you won’t have to dread coming home after a trip. Return to a place where the vacation never ends. Live and be happy! 🙂
