I’ll never forget the time my sister and I were going through security at Cleveland Hopkins Airport, and she was carrying 5 bottles of water in her book bag. She hadn’t traveled in a while, so the thought of the liquid carry on limit had slipped her mind. TSA was not happy about it! They fully inspected both of us along with each water bottle. I guess I don’t completely blame her for bringing all that water. Who wants to spend their money on overpriced bottles, especially for long flights? So, here’s a new trick I learned: pack and empty water bottle or two, and refill them once you pass security. Easy peasy!
TV to Go
Don’t you hate when you sit down on an airplane and there’s no TV on the back of your seat? A fun trick to try is placing your phone or tablet in a plastic sandwich bag, and hooking it into the back of the tray table. Poke a small whole on the side and slip your earphones through. Call it what you’d like, but it works!
Shower Your Shoes
Usually we pack our shoes first, at the bottom of our suitcases. This way if they’re dirty, our clothes will maybe stay clean. By the subtitle of this tip, you may be lead to think I’m going to tell you to clean your shoes before packing them. Nah. Not everyone has time for that. I was thinking more like, wrap your shoes with shower caps before you put them in your suitcase. And there you have it! It takes only a few seconds, and your clothes stay clean. I’m almost positive you can purchase a four pack from the dollar store. Couldn’t hurt to try it!
