It’s not everyday we get to hop on a flight to a different country, and temporarily leave all of our worries at home. When you do get the chance, it only makes sense to be wild and live life to the extreme. Sometimes though, it’s just as nice to sit back, embrace your surroundings, and indulge in a good book. Check out these writings I have listed below…you know, for when you want to take break from the adrenaline rush and soak in some rays.
Living the Life You Love: The No-Nonsense Guide to Total Transformation
I’ve read this one multiple times. It’s the book I push onto myself and others when I sense insecurity and hopelessness. After reading, I immediately wanted to jump on Sky Scanner and book the next flight out! Paula Renaye wraps a sturdy arm around your shoulders, forces you to look in the mirror and says, “You can do this.” This book is interactive, so have your pencils ready! It will help you discover what’s been holding you back, and turn your limitations into transformation. Renaye covers relationship, career, health, and other challenges, and shows you how to stop tolerating what you hate about your life. Make the changes and start living!
The Soul Searcher’s Handbook: The Modern Girl’s Guide to the New Age World
Thank you Emma Mildon! This is a good read for anytime, whether you’re on vacation or simply bored at home. I realize it’s marketed towards women, but I can honestly see men enjoying it, also. (If they can get past the pink cover.) Mildon covers aromatherapy, numerology, healing crystals, meditation and much more, to guide you to incorporate healing into your everyday life. No matter what you’re searching for, this book will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
If you wish to be taken away from petty worries of everyday life to a place where universal truth seems to exist, this is the book for you. The thing I love most about this book, is that no one reader connects to it in the same way. Almustafa, the main character, poetically speaks on different topics throughout the story. He includes love, money, children, death, etc. You could have a lot of fun reading this book with a friend. After each chapter, share your interpretations and see how differently your minds can wonder.
Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable
Legendary trainer Tim Grover has taken the greats—Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, and dozens more—and made them even greater. Now, he reveals how to be relentless and achieve whatever you desire through paperback. This book will push you to a whole new level that you didn’t even know you had. Every now and then, we need someone to be blunt and brutally honest with us. That’s exactly what Grover does. He shares the same advice he give his world-class clients, and shows you how to, even at your best, become better.
Side note: I love the excitement from opening a new book I’ve never read before. If you have any suggestions on books to pack with me on my adventures, feel free to comment below! Thanks 🙂
