There’s no way I can sum up one of my favorite places in a single blog post. So… here’s to the beginning of a new sequel!
When traveling to California, one of my biggest recommendations is to go the Air BnB route. Not because I’m obsessed with the site, but because hotels can be pretty pricey. I’ve come to find that vacationing like a local in cities surrounding the LA area can be much more fun, anyway. Most of the time I book private studios or apartments to myself. Recently, however, I bunked in a lovely two bedroom Hollywood apartment with an Italian man named Andi. He relocated to the states a few years ago. The vibes and the sense of culture I received from him were so amazing. French cafe music played on repeat in the living room, which was decorated with his personally sewn handbags made with Italian leather he brought from home. Along with designing, he owned his own floral arrangement company. When he wasn’t working either of those, he was cutting and styling clients’ hair in his living room. He kept himself busy, and he kept the wine coming for this girl!
During my stay I did a lot of exploring in the city. But I must say…the time spent at Andi’s apartment was an adventure in itself. I greatly appreciated his hospitality, and hope to see our paths cross again in the future. Chao!
